The inspection log — what's next

Where dscan is headed.

Same three tiers as the scanner itself — shipped, actively being worked, or still on the table. Open an issue to vote or suggest something new.

Shipped

Live in the latest release — see the full Changelog for every version.

  • Signed & notarized macOS builds

Developer ID signing, Apple notarization, and automatic updates on macOS.

  • Schedule tab

Shutdown / sleep / restart / wake on a timer, relative, absolute, or recurring.

  • Apps tab

Rosetta / Intel-only detection and one-click uninstall on Apple Silicon.

In progress

Being built right now — tracked in the Unreleased section of CHANGELOG.md.

  • Toolchains tab

Version-aware pruning of nvm Node, Android NDK/system-images, JetBrains IDEs, and iOS simulator runtimes — keeps the newest and any in-use version automatically.

Considering

Not commitments, no ETA — things we're weighing. Open an issue on GitHub to vote or suggest something else.

  • Windows support

dscan is macOS/Linux only today. A Windows build is the most-requested gap.

  • More toolchain providers

rbenv/pyenv Python & Ruby versions, Docker image and layer pruning.

  • Scriptable JSON output

A --json flag on the TUI/CLI so scans can feed into CI pipelines or dotfiles scripts.
